Obesity Medicine Blueprint of Care: What to do Monday Morning  Part II is an online enduring CME offered by the Arizona Obesity Organization. The key focus of this course is to bring awareness and clinically practical information to obesity management by explaining the pathophysiology and pillars of treatment. The course is designed to provide practitioners with an understanding of obesity as a chronic disease, review of comprehensive, best practices for individuals with preobesity and obesity,  and how to incorporate that understanding into clinical practice. 

Course Information

The topics covered will provide clinically practical information for effective evidence-based management of obesity, and provide the resources for motivated clinicians to start to manage obesity in a clinical setting.

Course Topics Include:

  1. An Overview of Foundation of Treatment: Applying Nutrition, Behavioral Change, Physical Activity Into Clinical Practice.
  2. Intensification of Treatment: Pharmacotherapy for Obesity. 
  3. Office Visit Structures: Breaking Down the Pillars of Obesity Management into Clinical Practice
  4. Documentation of Obesity Management in a Clinical Setting: The Nitty Gritty    
  5. Applying the Prior Authorization Process to Practice: Tips and Tricks for Finding Anti-Obesity Medication Coverage
  6. Individualizing Obesity Care
